I share my journey following a car accident that not only damaged my vehicle but also exposed themes of attachment and perfectionism, while at the same time, showing me the support I have. In a crazy series of events, you’ll learn the 5 action steps I took to transform this adversity into an opportunity:

I recount the experience of my car accident which exposed some sneaky perfectionism that was lingering around and of how shocked I was by my reaction.  It was a stark reminder to prioritize my well-being over material concerns. Insert picture of car damage.

  • The concept of turning tragedy into triumph.
  • The importance of letting go and recognizing attachments.

In a heartfelt moment with my banged-up car, I held the steering wheel and performed the Hoʻoponopono (Hawaiian Clearing Prayer) before heading to the body shop. I expressed feelings of love and gratitude for the car, which had been a significant part of her life for over 11 years. Despite my emotional connection and the prayer, the car did not start. So, what next?

I had to call a tow truck which led to accident #2.  We were all in shock by what we witnessed. In 11 years, I experienced NO accidents, and in less than 1 week, my car gets banged twice.  I looked at the series of events and share the underlying message of what this can be about.

Not My Actual Car

I realized my car represented my attachment to the past – this being Florida.  I had to acknowledge the signs from the Universe, because I didn’t want things to get worse.  I had to let go so I could move forward.

This was another lesson in TRUST and FAITH in the Divine!  I let go of the worry, and let me fingers and mind do the talking.  I was on a quest for another Scion TC, with only 1 week to find a replacement. With the help of 2 Knights in shining armor, a miracle was born.

To get me through this, I share the five steps I used to transform this crazy series of events into an opportunity. It was important to focus on potential gains rather than losses, and to embrace the new possibilities and take inspired action.
